Sunbeam is planning to launch a PSU designed for Overclockers.

There is something really confused me. As the title, what is the Overclockers really want for their +12V rails?

As you know Intel new design guide separate +12V rails so that one of it can be dedicate to CPU and the other one can be for other devices to achieve system stability.

However, we may have some problem on some application such as SLI application. If we dedicate +12V2 to CPU and the Intel design guide limits single +12V rails to 20A maximum, it may be not enough for +12V1 to cover both SLI and the other devices….(since only 20A)

I think you must have heard of OCZ with its well-known PowerStream voltage tweakable PSU. It doesn’t separate its +12V into two rails but keep it for one on 470/520 model. However, OCZ does separate +12V rails to two in his 600W models.

So, here comes the question. As a professional in overclocking, which one do you prefer and help you when you overclock? Separate +12V rails or a larger combined +12V rails?
