Hallo Bundy, many thanks for dropping your reviews here.
It was such a surprise
The Monsta Lite looks great, but im guessing +120€. If that's the price, it definitely can't compete against the Airplex Revolution and its performance/price ratio. (i'd like to see a review on this too)
And im seeing again another useless bleeding screw...
Oh, a little note, the max image width is 650 px so please, resize them before a mod warns you.
PS. I completely disagree with Naekuh and all that shit about your test methodology. Keep up the good work

With such an high airflow, you can choose an Swiftech or Koolance Radiator !
Here you can find an Review from my buddy with triple rads:

@Longhorn: Thanks for your words ! There are always some users, that don´t like my reviews, that´s ok for me and normal, you can´t be everyones darling
But i think, as long as i become 90% positive comments from the users AND companies after my reviews, the way that i go and the methods are ok and good and my "simple" charts are correct enough for most of the users worldwide !
You can find the Airplex Revolution Radiator in my other review with rads for 140mm fans, which i linked above.

New Version !
Both end caps are threaded Delrin, and newer IceCaps can be purchased and placed on with ease. They secure it with a smaller nylon thumb screw, but cracking is not an issue since they push on the Delrin portion. The light tube is threaded and secures into the base Delrin portion, and instead of the little cap that glued onto the top, they actually have threaded caps with a BN50 gasket to screw on them.
The base of the reservoir has two brass pins pressed into the Delrin. Each of the helix assemblies(Liquid Fusion), straight rod assemblies (RCX) and anti vortex assemblies (Reactor Core) has two small holes on the base that snaps into these pins. It allows the user to make these parts interchangeable.

Nice block.

-
01/08/2010, 20:14
Usuario registrado CV
Yes, the Alpheos block is about 1.3° behind the Heatkiller - In my opionion, it´s a good result for a newcomer !
and the other block, which i posted - Aquacomputer Kyros is better then the Heatkiller 3.0 !
-
02/08/2010, 00:16
Usuario registrado CV
the heatkiller is a tad outdated, we should compare the temps with the supreme HF or the Kryos
-

The Supreme HF is slightly better then the Kyros

actually, acording to vapor's tests, the kryos outperforms the HF by about 0.1ºC
-
02/08/2010, 14:04

In my upcoming review update it´s more than just 0.1° !
-
02/08/2010, 14:13

yep, but i dont trust your reviews anymore since i saw your test methodology and you just ignored all of my sugestions and questions
a GMR flowmeter and an Innovatek fluid? oh come on, are you serious? i know you can get some real flowmeters and presure gauges
-
02/08/2010, 14:27
Usuario registrado CV
ok nice for you - and i often don´t trust other reviewers and their methods, even if they have such massive looking equipment, that naive users get´s impressed.
I don´t need pressure gauges to make good tests and 90% of the users worldwide don´t need such things too, they want easy to read and honest result charts !
I see no reason to change anything of my testing which i´m doingsince 2001. When you don´t like it, it´s ok - look at others testers reviews, there are many worldwide
And what you wrote about innovatek Coolant is not true, it´s very good and tested over many years.
Look at the bottomplate from the Kyros - it´s very similar like the Apogee XT, so it can´t be only 0.1° better than the HF ! Proof if for yourself, go and buy both blocks.
and now BTT , this is a picture thread here !
-
02/08/2010, 15:44
Usuario registrado CV
so, are you calling "naive users" to almost the whole WC comunity who trust vapor's reviews?
his results are a lot more accurate and the error margin is a lot lower than yours.
do you even do your reviews at the same room temp?
and, are you telling me the apogee XT outperforms the HF? they perform almost the same, but the xt is A LOT more restrictive than the HF.
and something that really pissed me off and you still didnt answer me, why is the Supreme LT more restrictive than the Apogee XT in your tests? i've been into watercooling since late 2008 so i dont have quite as much experience as you do, but there are things that are pretty obvious

WTF? just compare:

Wich is the real material? I was really surprised i this...
And wich material is? in the first photo of and advert it looks like brass material, but in mine looks like aluminium.
I know that in radiators is very important how can they perform, but the quality of the materials are very important too.
The next radiador: Black ice SR1 480 wich is more consistent, better paint and better performance. Price is highly, but is highly better.

I saw the block for Nvidia GTX480.
Does the design has an error?
Between the two parts of the circuit (tape) there is no board seat. The water would leak out of the screws, right?
Greetings.

No, function is good and no leaks, GPU Temp is in the middle of the testfield
It´s ok for 1 product from a little 1 man company i think.

My fault: I looked at her without turning.
Still, I think what manufacturers are doing is the "holy card scam". Te tape is machined to reduce the thickness of copper.
In this case (GTX480), given the passage of water remaining in the core I think it should be fairly restrictive block.
A greeting.

Well, there are several rumours about Feser and those AdmiralRads..as you might already know.
The owner of frozencpu spent 40.000 $ in the admiral production many month ago, because the 2 feser guys had not enough money anymore and they still have nothing ready but 1 sample, which was shown in the little Vegas Video
Other rumours said, that they had to use 3/4 of the money to pay old bills from their asian contacts which were producing the older radiators and other stuff and that there is not enough left to produce admiral radiators now. And what i also heard: The Admiral Rad Design is based on a ca. 4 years old prototype. Noboby knows at the moment, when the admiral rads will be released, or if they ever hit the market.

Budy good photos, a question, the Full Cover, EK 460 GTX, serves for Gigabyte GTX460?
What do you think of the new radiators Coolgate? Think it is worth changing a Thermochill PA120.3 (vercion long) for a triple Coolgate?
Sorry for my bad English ...

You can mount the Waterblock on every GTX460, which is build in Reference Design.
The Coolgate performs very well, but it´s not worth to change, when you already own a TC 120.3 !

This is fucking crazy xd
About what i can see in the video, this pump isn't noisy, doesn't it?
And the performance, this is a beast, but the price... it cost as 2 D5, but who will win? 2 D5 setup or this one?
So in your video, whats the average of waterflow with that pump?
Thanks again bundy!
-
21/04/2011, 17:12
Usuario registrado CV
One Sanso 24V Pump brings ~ 295 Liters/h. flowrate with this setup and 2 of those pumps ~ 400 Liters ! But beware, the pumps makes a lot pressure, for example: you need tubing with 10mm id and 13mm fittings AND clamps !!
Yeah, the pump is that loud, but on the other hand, when using 2-3 Laing D5 with full speed, those combination is loud too.

And a little offtopic:
For you, what is more important, the flowrate or the preassure in a pump?
And do you know how many l/h shoud make a D5 at 24 v?
This is because i have 2 D5 and im interested in this rehobus: http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/p ... ct_id=1169
But theres any performance difference betwen this 2 D5 at 12v or 24 v?

With better pressure you mostly will get a higher flowrate, especially when having restrictive blocks like i have in this setup.
Pumps like D5 are very good when having blocks from danger den for example, which are mostly optimated for high flow rate. But when using block from swiftech or koolance, you will have better flow rate with Laing DDC/355 series.
There is no difference when running a D5 with 12 or 24v, its just an option, that you can use both voltages to run this pump.

Perdona, pero eso no es cierto.
Las curvas de una D5 son diferentes con alimentación a 12 V y a 24 V:
http://lainginc.itt.com/files/LTSS-27.pdf

I don´t understand what you wrote, just look at the links, there are several tests, which shows, that it makes no matter when running the D5 with 24V or 12V and besides the result in the link, i test this by myself last years- Manufacturers themself test the pumps without any watercoolers in the system. So those diagramms can´t be useful for "real" systems and results.
It´s a question of giving respect or not, when a user is asking ME in english, to answer in english to, when you join the conversation, so i am able to follow the conversation ! It´s kind of arrogant behaviour, when changing from english to spanish, when conversation was between me and the user and you join in and answer in spanish, that i can´t understand a single word.
It sure makes a different in flowrate when you run a D5 on Setting 2 or Setting 5, that´s a point that we dont need to discuss

Yes, this was a part from the new thermalfin radiator as a little teaser. The Boss from Thermalfins contacted me ~ 2 weeks ago and was asking if i´m interested to test this radiator. it´s a good time schedule, because i´m working on a triple rad. test, so i can include his rad too
Here is a thread for those radiators, you can use this infos for your thread. I will post some pictures in the next days in several forums.

I want this sentence signed by a engineer, if you test a pump in a watercooling system, it´ll be a pump´s workpoint, with other watercooling system will be a new workpoint, but all workpoints are in the pump´s P-Q diagram.
The pump´s P-Q diagram covers all possible workpoints, the pump works never out of P-Q diagram.
P-Q diagram = pressure- flow diagram
i dont remember the name of the interception point of Pump PQ curve and load curve (example. watercooling system), i have called it "workpoint", but it´s possible "loadpoint"

Yeah, right.
You think about painting a radiator? Some time ago I saw a work of yours called "Ice Breaker" which painted a white radiator. Was there any noticeable performance loss?
Sorry for my English...
