reciclar un portatil como sobremesa
El caso es que me han regalado un portatil que no está nada mal pero tiene la pantalla rota y me gustaría hacer una caja y todo lo demas para convertirlo en un sobremesa, pero tengo algunas dudas sobre todo con el tema de la salida de video. No hay problema en sacarla por vga, pero queda la pega de la instalación del sistema operativo, bios y demas opciones que solo son visibles en la pantalla del portatil , así que ando buscando la forma de conectar mi monitor a la salida del tft del portatil que según he leido y si no entiendo mal se trata de un tft con una conexión DFP, y he encontrado en ebay este tipo de conectores que no se si me valdrían para lo que yo quiero, es decir, utilizar mi monitor externo directamente con el portatil y no por vga. el portatil solo tiene salida vga y el monitor externo dvi y vga, esto lo digo por si tiene algo que ver.
PD. Sea por Vga o de otra manera haré el mod e iré poniendo fotos por aquí a ver que tal os parece.

cuando conectas una pantalla por conector vga o tft solo te da imagen una vez llegado a windows?
Prueba a mirar en windows en configuración de video que no esté puesto en modo 2 pantallas / clonación, que esté en monitor externo, no laptop monitor (así sería para chipsets intel). eso te solucionaría ese problema.
Ese adaptador no creo que te sirva de mucho.

has probado a desconectar la pantalla rota de la placa del portatil y conectar un vga al portatil? esto es lo que hice yo en AIO AL y veia todo sin problema (bios, instalación win, etc).

La marca phoenix es simplemente la bios no el portátil.
Si que es raro si, al principio huviera dicho que igual es cosa de los más modernos, pero me picó la curiosidad y fuí al taller que tengo ahí uno con 8 años desmontado y me dió el mismo resultado que el moderno.
La única explicación que se me ocurre es que tu salida vga no está conectada fisiscamente a la gpu si y hace falta que la placa mande la señal a la salida de ahí que requiera software para hacerlo y de ahí que solo lo veas desde windows. Por curiosidad, has probado a arrancar la instalación de windows a ver si sale la imagen una vez empiece tal instalación? (si no tienes forma de ir a la bios y decirle que arranque del cd, prueba a meter el cd de instalación en windows y si mal no recuerdo, puedes iniciar el proceso desde ahí mismo (y ya reiniciaría el pc e iría directo al proceso de instalación ignorando la configuración de la bios).

Veras, la pantalla tiene jodida el back light por lo que iluminandola con una linterna o luz puedo ver la bios, mirare a ver si puedo cambiar algo, y si no me equivoco el portatil es un clonico y en la tapa pone por fuera phoenix (lo comprobaré cuando llegue a casa y de paso provaré el everest a ver que placa tiene.

Tienes razon, el portatil no es phoenix, es solo la bios, en la parte de atras he encontrado estas numeraciones pero buscando en google tampoco es que haya encontrado mucho.
Es un portatil chino y la numeracion encontrada es esta

Es un chipset genérico de intel que lo llevan muchos portátiles, es posiblemente un portatil marca blanca, esto pasa cuando la fábrica encargada de fabricar un portatil para x compañía hace más que el número de pedido y vende las sobras a precio de costo para recuperar gastos. Podría ser cualquier marca menos ASUS (ya que son los únicos que ensamblan sus propios portátiles).

lo que yo digo, marca nisu, pero he vuelto a comprobar lo de arrancar sin la tft conectada y nada, hay que esperar a windows y la bios no tiene ninguna opcion para cambiar eso.
no se si se podría utilizar una pantallita pequeña de 3 o 4 " para conectarla a la salida de la placa, podría ser otra opcion.

siempre y cuando la conexión de video en la placa no sea propietaria, pero si, sería buena idea, además así podrías usar esa segunda pantallita en windows para enseñar información o galería de imagenes siempre y cuando estuviese montada en la caja : )

supongo que si, los botones de torres atx tienen solo 2 cables, los portátiles 5, no se exactamente que hacen los otros 3.
